Stress relief practices you can do anywhere!
🔥4 stress relief practices, you can do anywhere! 😉
🌸Whether you’re having a stressful day at work or feeling overwhelmed by your kids behavior, these 4 stress relief practices may help you calm down at that moment. Remember what works for me may not work for you, so try them out and see what helps you🙂.
🌸Meditation, prayer and mindfulness: No, I don’t mean you should sit cross legged and closed eyed in the middle of the supermarket mediating. There are different types of meditation, for example you can repeat a positive mantra in your mind while you take slow breaths. For example: “I will get through this day and I will be fine”. Focusing on the present by paying attention to what you see, hear, taste, smell and touch can distract you from thinking about past and future stressors. Also, saying a quiet prayer can help you feel motivated to continue.
🌸Focus on your breathing: Breathing techniques can calm you down quickly. Try breathing in and counting to three as you inhale, you can imagine that you are in a calm peaceful place for a moment. Hold your breath for a second and then exhale slowly, imagine you are exhaling all the stress and tension. Try this a few times.
🌸Guided imagery: this is a technique I use all the time. There are a few variations. It’s basically taking yourself to your ‘happy place’ in your mind. Mine is the beach, close your eyes for a few seconds and take yourself through the smells, the sounds, and the sights. You can picture a past event that made you happy if that’s easier. Then simply open eyes and return to the present moment.
🌸Take a walk: taking a walk is not only a stress reliever but you may also get some exercise in. It gives you a quick change of scenery, which can help to change your frame of mind. Maybe take a quick walk around your office or step outside if possible.
⭐️Remember you may need to experiment to find what works for you. Learning the best ways to manage stress is important and necessary. Taking care of yourself means you will be better able to get tasks done and better able to care for those around you.💕
