🍟🌭🍕We consume an excessive amount of empty calories from foods that don’t provide us with the essential nutrients we need to properly nourish our bodies.  Just 1 in 10 adults meets the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables. The other 9 are at greater risk for chronic disease.

🥦🍎Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains can help reduce the risk of many leading causes of death and illness.  What you eat can determine your health.  Remember what you are eating daily is more important than what you eat occasionally 💕

A couple of simple and easy ways to add more fruit and veggies into your diet:

🍓Adding fruit to your morning breakfast, maybe in your oatmeal or cereal.

🍍Making a quick smoothie with fruit and/or vegetables.

🍎Taking a fruit to work or school for your snack.

🥦Add your favorite veggies to a pasta dish.

☕️ Adding herbs, teas or spices to your food can boost the nutrient content in your meals.
