sunflower seed hummus

~Ingredients~ 


-3 cups dry chick peas 

-1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds 

-1/2 cup water or Aquafaba 

-Juice of 2 lemons 

-2 cloves garlic 

-1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional) 

-1 teaspoon salt 

~ Method~ 

Soak chickpeas overnight for 8 hours. Then boil until cooked through.  

Add chickpeas and all other ingredients to a strong blender/ food processor and blend until smooth. 

Add extra liquid if too thick.  

Transfer to dish and top with favorite toppings like paprika, fresh herbs, tomatoes, onions and olives.
