“An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion” Issac Newton
For many years I have been struggling with chronic hip pain that led to knee pain, that led to me not being able or rather feeling like I was unable to participate in various types of exercise.
Because Covid had me spending so much more time inside, I decided to go for walks more. Those walks led to longer walks and then to short jogs. When I say short I mean like one minute at a time. My body feels so much stronger and so much better than before. I was afraid to exercise before for fear of pain but now I realize that my body just needed time to get stronger.
Our bodies are meant to move, the less we move today will be the less we move tomorrow. So start moving!
🏃🏽♀️Do some form of moderate activity like walking for at least 30 mins 5 days a week.
If you need some motivation here are some benefits to regular exercise:
•provides more energy throughout the day
•lessens stress
•reduces risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke
•strengthens bones
•Improves reproductive health and sexual vitality
•Improves sleep
•Improves weight management
The hardest thing to do is start, so maybe start with a short walk or a swim or just play some music and dance 💕
